Program Overview of MDS-C

The MDS-C design process consists of two analysis stages as shown in Figure 1. At the preprocessing stage, standalone software with a complete graphical user interface (GUI) is provided to guide the user in all analysis stages consisting of four steps - unit cell geometry and mesh definition, linear material parameter characterization, reduced order model computation, and nonlinear material parameter characterization. At the macro analysis stage, MDS-C provides the interface for multiscale analysis using various commercial FEM packages by utilizing the unit cell database generated in the preprocessing stage.
